Abstract
0g-SPOT is an audio and visual podcast that explores human intimacy, relationships, and philosophical questions related to spaceflight. While most public conversations about space focus on technology and engineering, 0g-SPOT centers on the human experience - using thoughtful, tongue-in-cheek dialogue to make space more relatable and engaging to a general adult audience.
Season 1 is already well underway: eight episodes have been recorded, with the first episode currently in professional post-production. Current episode guests include medical leaders in space, Star Trek royalty, sex experts, design experts, and health and wellness leaders in space. This proposal supports the completion, polishing, and distribution of the first eight episodes, enabling timely delivery of a high-quality media project that contributes to MoonDAO’s mission to shape a more human future in space.
The first season is anticipated to consist of approximately 12–16 episodes. The first eight episodes have already been recorded as a form of risk reduction. This proposal seeks MoonDAO support to professionally edit those episodes and to record, produce, and complete the remaining 4–8 episodes required to deliver a high-quality first season with clear MoonDAO brand integration.
# Problem
As spaceflight becomes more accessible, public engagement remains dominated by technical narratives that can feel abstract or inaccessible. Topics such as intimacy, relationships, embodiment, and identity in space are rarely explored in ways that resonate with broader audiences, despite their importance to long-duration missions and inclusive participation.
Without intentional cultural storytelling:
- Space remains distant for much of the public
- Human considerations risk being secondary to technical systems
- Opportunities to expand interest in space beyond the existing community are missed
MoonDAO is well positioned to support projects that broaden how people emotionally and culturally connect to space.
# Solution
0g-SPOT Season 1 will deliver a professionally produced podcast that uses intimacy and human connection as an accessible entry point into deeper conversations about space and humanity.
Current Status (Risk Reduction)
- Eight episodes already recorded using team-provided resources
- Episode 1 currently in professional post-production
- No MoonDAO funds are requested for recording labor already completed
Use of MoonDAO Funds
MoonDAO funding is requested to support future-facing completion and continuation, specifically:
- Professional audio and video editing for the first eight recorded episodes
- Recording, editing, and production of the remaining 4–8 episodes needed to complete Season 1
- Improved remote recording infrastructure for hosts
- Creation of distribution-ready visual and short-form assets
- Hosting and technical infrastructure for public release
While early recording has reduced execution risk, professional post-production and completion of the full season would not be possible at the same quality level without MoonDAO support.
The project is intentionally structured to preserve creative independence while maintaining transparency and alignment with MoonDAO’s values.
The podcast’s tone is tongue-in-cheek while remaining philosophical and thought-provoking. It is designed for a general adult audience rather than the existing space community and, while not overly explicit or vulgar, is not targeted toward children.
MoonDAO Deliverables & Value Exchange
MoonDAO support will result in the following concrete, measurable deliverables:
Brand Integration
- Either two 15-second or one 30-second “Presented with support from MoonDAO” audio/video ad slot per Season 1 episode
- Mention in the intro or outro of each episode released during Season 1
Distribution Assets
- Short-form clips and visual assets delivered for MoonDAO to share across its channels
- MoonDAO attribution included in episode descriptions
Transparency
- A private preview of a representative episode shared to provide context on tone, quality, and format
This structure provides MoonDAO with consistent visibility and promotional value without transferring editorial or creative control.
Scientific & Reputational Considerations
0g-SPOT is designed as a reflective, philosophical podcast informed by lived experience and expert perspectives rather than as a technical or instructional program. Conversations draw on guests with professional backgrounds across medicine, space health, design, ethics, and related disciplines to ensure thoughtful and responsible discussion.
To support transparency and trust, MoonDAO will receive advance notice of episode releases and access to a representative preview of content prior to publication under MoonDAO branding. This preview is intended to provide visibility into tone and subject matter, not to establish editorial oversight or creative approval authority. Final editorial decisions, including tone, structure, and content, remain the responsibility of the project team.
# Benefits
- Repeat, season-long brand placement across a culturally distinctive media project
- Storytelling assets aligned with MoonDAO’s human-centered mission
- Content designed to reach audiences beyond the traditional space community
- Reusable clips and evergreen media for outreach and engagement
Return on Investment
ROI for MoonDAO will be measured through:
- Number of episodes released with MoonDAO brand integration
- Aggregate downloads, views, and engagement across audio and video platforms
- Social sharing and community discussion driven by MoonDAO-distributed clips
- Durable reuse of content beyond initial release
Risks
Risk: Sensitive subject matter may be misunderstood Mitigation: – Content is recorded with a thoughtful, ethical, and reflective approach
Risk: Production delays Mitigation: – Majority of content already recorded – Active post-production pipeline in place
Risk: Budget overruns Mitigation: – Conservative budget with explicit contingency included

Closing Statement
0g-SPOT demonstrates how human-centered storytelling can complement technical progress in space exploration. This proposal positions MoonDAO as a visible supporter of thoughtful, human-centered space storytelling while maintaining clear deliverables, defined ROI, and creative independence. By funding completion and continuation rather than reimbursing sunk costs, MoonDAO enables a durable media asset that expands how people emotionally connect to space.
